Should You Jump Start or Replace a Dead Battery?
How to tell whether a dead battery needs a jump, a test, or mobile replacement before you drive again.
A jump can be temporary
A jump start supplies enough power to start a vehicle with a discharged battery. It does not fix an old battery that cannot hold a charge or a problem in the charging system.
Look for repeat symptoms
If the vehicle needs another jump soon, the battery may be failing. Dim lights, slow cranking, and repeated no-starts are reasons to request a battery test.
Get the right next step
Wise Guys offers mobile battery service with testing starting at $50, or it may be included with qualifying battery service.
