Frequently asked
Before you
call Wise Guys.
A few direct answers for drivers in East Orange and nearby Essex County communities.
Can a jump start fix a bad battery?
A jump can start a vehicle with a discharged battery, but it does not repair a battery that can no longer hold a charge. We can discuss testing or mobile battery service if the vehicle starts and then dies again.
Do you provide a tire?
This service is for changing to an available spare. Call to ask about tire delivery or tire repair options if you do not have a usable spare.
Will the vehicle be damaged?
We use a non-destructive entry approach when the vehicle and lock allow it. Older, damaged, or unusually complex locks may require a different solution, which we will discuss.
How much fuel do you bring?
Fuel delivery is intended to get you safely to a nearby station. Call with your location and vehicle so we can explain what is available.
How much is battery testing?
Battery testing starts at $50, or may be included with qualifying battery service.
Can you fix a tire that keeps losing air?
Inflation is a temporary roadside step. A slow leak may need a plug repair, patch, or tire replacement after inspection.
Is a tire plug a permanent repair?
A roadside plug is an emergency repair for an eligible tread puncture. A tire professional should inspect it and determine whether a proper internal repair or replacement is needed.
Can every locking lug be removed?
Many can, but the method depends on the lock and its condition. Call with the vehicle details for a quote before service.
Does restoration fix a burned-out headlight?
No. Restoration treats cloudy or yellowed lens plastic. A failed bulb, wiring issue, or damaged housing needs a different repair.
